The Four Mantras to a Healthy Living

💡 Wondering what is a "Healthy Living"❔

"Healthy Living" is the practice of health enhancing behaviors. Living free of physical diseases, mental illnesses and social anxiety brings a good state of health.

A few years back, I never realized how important it was to strike the balance between the physical, mental and social wellbeing. But as my engagement with different people grew around the world, I realized how important it is to associate the relationship between the three areas and practice essential mantras for a healthy living. I call them "The Four Mantras to a Healthy Living"-

💡Associating "The Four Mantras to a Healthy Living" with Well-being

Well-being is a state of being comfortable, healthy and happy. It is a keyword in the WHO definition of health: “A state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

"Physical well-being is not just the absence of disease. It includes lifestyle behavior choices to ensure health, avoid preventable diseases and conditions, and to live in a balanced state of body, mind, and spirit." -AANA "Mental health is not just the absence of mental disorder. It is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community." -WHO "Social well-being is an important dimension of health along with physical and mental aspects. It plays an effective role in improving the quality of life, social efficacy, and social performance" -WHO Human beings needs to channelize themselves in order to experience a good state of health and mind.

A person:

  1. practicing till it achieves regularity, defines "Consistency"

  2. associating itself to it's goals, defines "Dedication"

  3. practicing a personalized experienced based learnings, defines "Discipline"

  4. taking preventive or precautionary measures, defines "Awareness"

It is very essential to create a balance as we take care of our physical, mental and social well-being. This is called the balancing act. A well defined balanced zone is created when all the areas of well-being are considered together and exercised with consistency, dedication, discipline and awareness bringing immense benefits to a healthy living.
